On Thursday afternoon a friend of mine died in a car crash. Eliza wasn't a close friend, I knew her through Alison, but I have know her for a number of years and she was a friend all the same. She was twenty eight, apparently she was on her way back from seeing clients in East Yorkshire when her car was involved in a crash with two others. One of the other drivers also died.
Eliza was a wild card, always enthusiastic, loved a drink (an admirable quality in my book), funny and incredibly sharp. She was very important to Alison and she was, as far as I could see, a rock for her. She will be missed incredibly by many people.

To day is Eliza’s 33 birthday and I have fro the first time the Courage to put her name into Google. And there she was, dead and silent. History that is chip paper for those not touched by her life.
Richard can I thank you for posting this on behalf of Alison, at the time of Eliza’s death. Today I found her threw you, looking out from the page reminding me of life, a short lived life that was big and determined to experience and be everything that was possible for her, a life that loved the biggest love. Today I will embrace her joy, her essences and celebrate her life. I will drink too much as Eliza would drink too much. I hope I am not alone in raising a glass to her today .HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DARLING.
Every day without you and at the same time with you.
My first thought in the morning and last thought at night with surprise moment’s in-between, that’s how you live with me now. And I am glad that you are able to always be with me. You fill the place that is called Eliza in my body the place that you grew.
Today is your birthday and you are 34 and you should not have to reside within me, you should be out there in the world causing havoc and planning fun.
To be a memory, such a life is way too big to be just that.
You are a magnificent, vibrant, cherished woman who I was gifted with as my child and I will cherish you every day.
And today is your day, this is Eliza Risk day.
Happy Birthday my darling.
